After the topsoil was excavated, the foundations of 17th-, 18th-, and 19th-century buildings were revealed. In collaboration with the Amsterdam City Council's Archaeological Service, these remains were excavated further and then documented. A complete slipway was even revealed! Once secured, the construction of a large basement and the foundations for a new apartment complex could begin.
